A Good Year (AGY) is an annual club competition among club members. The primary objective of the yearlong event is simply to catch as many species of fish on a fly rod as humanly possible. The competition is all honors based, and no species caught on conventional tackle are accepted. There are two divisions of the AGY competition, the Open Division and the Danner Division. The Open Division includes all species of fish (saltwater and freshwater) from around the globe, while the Danner Division includes species only indigenous to the Delmarva region. At the end of every year, the club has an awards ceremony to crown the AGY champion of the year, and to honor all those who participated.
